Scott, Cyndi, and Ted... the cat.
My name is Ted. I am The Westby House cat, a mascot if you will. I became The Westby House cat after being abandoned by a neighborhood family in the middle of winter. It was never the plan for my two caretakers, Scott and Cyndi to adopt me but is has just worked out that way. Allow me to introduce you to the innkeepers of The Westby House.
Scott is a 30-year hospital administration CFO and Cyndi, is a nutritionist, personal trainer, and artist. They purchased the Westby House from longtime owners Mike and Marie Cimino. Scott and Cyndi first came to the Westby House for a romantic weekend and fell in love with the home and its charm. They had been looking for the perfect opportunity to blend their many talents and hobbies into a business where they could work together and share their passion for people, entertainment as well as their fondness for historic homes and beautiful antiques. Scott and Cyndi knew within an hour of arriving at the Westby house, the Inn was their future. Once their offer was accepted Scott and Cyndi renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary, here at the Inn with Mike officiating and Marie as a witness.
While important to Scott and Cyndi to continue the legacy of outstanding hospitality the Inn is well known for, they also want to grow with their guests. Since purchasing the Inn during the middle of the pandemic, they began to see a shift in the needs and requests of their guests. They saw a continued trend of a more “independent stay”, social distancing and people looking to sleep in or choosing to skip breakfast altogether. Scott and Cyndi made the decision to no longer operate as a bed and breakfast but rather as a “Boutique Guest Home and Lodge”. In doing so, guests are now able to enjoy the beautiful accommodations of the home while creating their own flexible schedule.
As for me, I come and go. I remain mostly independent, but I will certainly come and collect some belly rubs whenever they are offered to me.
We hope to see you at our home soon.
